Why is Cladding Important?

Polylite Industrial Corporation

Cladding is any material used at the exterior of any building- whether commercial or residential, to protect the interior from the weather, among other things. It acts as the home’s first line of defense against exterior factors that may easily deteriorate the structure. Nowadays, the use of cladding is not only to protect, but also to improve the aesthetic appeal and raise its property value. With a variety of materials available now, possibilities are endless.

Some familiar cladding materials are stone, composite materials like WPC Siding and WPC Outdoor Panels, fiber cement, brick, wood or timber, aluminum composite panel (ACP), and metal. By selecting the material, your cladding can also have some additional benefits: thermal insulation, sound insulation, and fire resistance. Because they are exposed outside, the material needs to be durable enough to withstand strong weather conditions for a long time. It should not fade immediately upon prolonged exposure to the sun nor should the structure suffer from water or moisture damages.

Before choosing a material, you have to consider a lot of things aside from the cost. The load bearing capability of the structure should be able to brace the material itself. The cleaning and maintenance of the material should also be done in an easy manner. If you’re looking for a material to match the architectural style of the building, no worries. Modern cladding materials offer both style and durability, which makes it easier for designs and homeowners across the globe.

Polylite offers aluminum composite panel and WPC Siding as cladding materials. Aside from guaranteed durability, ACP Cladding and WPC Siding are materials that offer style and aesthetics that can surely match any exterior.
